The winning projects of the Outstanding Artist Award 16 — Experimental Design were exhibited in the derelict workshop of a former cabinet maker to the emperor as part of the Vienna Design Week 2016.
To enhance the enigmatic and transient atmosphere of the light-flooded room, the exhibition architecture was reduced to minimal elements: grey gypsum boards with laminated posters seemingly float in front of the bare brick walls and fluorescent light tubes accentuate the circumference of the large skylight.
