Wiener Kuchl is a project developed in collaborative workshops coordinated by the Museum of Applied Arts Vienna (MAK) and the city’s social housing organisation (Obdach Wien), bringing together designers, the formerly homeless and social workers.
The outcome was the development and construction of a DIY kitchen furniture set. Reincarnations of the kitchen have since been installed in numerous ‘new’ homes by the help of a buddy-system established by the social organization during the workshop.
